Prep Your Materials | Spring Notebook Wallet
The Dollar Tree has a huge selection of notepads in different sizes and colors. One notepad will yield multiple notebook wallets. The notepad pictured above is 5 notebooks in one. Each notebook is separated by a cardboard backing.
To make the notebook wallet, first, carefully separate the notepad so that you have 1 notepad section that has a cardboard backing.
Cutting the Pieces | Spring Notebook Wallet
Next, cut two pieces of craft paper with two different patterns. Cut the first piece the same blank as the notepad and with enough width to fold both ends over the front. Then, cut the second piece of paper in a 1-2 inch strip and approximately the same width as the first piece
Putting it Together | Spring Notebook Walet
To create the base of the notebook wallet, place the notepad onto the larger piece of paper and line up the edges. Next, fold the two ends over the top half of the notepad and use a straight edge to make a sharp crease on the fold line.
Apply your adhesive, two-sided tape, to the cardboard backing and secure it to the craft paper. Finally, fold your 1-2 inch strip around the notebook in a similar fashion and apply the adhesive tape to make a loop. This will be the band that keeps the notebook together when the notebook is not in use.
The colorful mixing of patterns makes this Spring notebook wallet super fun and, makes it look way more expensive than it really is.
You can easily customize this notebook to fit any occasion or season just by changing up the paper patterns.
