These mini Christmas wreath earrings are super simple to make and don’t require a ton of materials. In fact, they were inspired by materials I found at (where else) the dollar store.
Okay so, I’m not sure if anyone else out there shares my same obsession with the dollar store. There are few things I enjoy more than going up and down the aisles imagining how I can transform dollar items into something awesome (see my Dollar Store Halloween wreath here and skull planter here).
I definitely take on each shopping trip as a creative challenge.
The dollar store may be my happy place but when the seasonal items hit the floor…watch out! I could spend hours there.
On my most recent trip, I found these wired garland ties and buffalo plaid ribbon. I immediately thought, “mini Christmas wreaths!

Make it! | Mini Christmas Wreath Earrings
Wrap the wire garland ties around your fingers and form two hoops that are approximately the same size. Cut off the excess garland.
Next, it’s time for a haircut! Cut down the leaves of the garland until you have a more defined circle.
For tie a small double bow, I used a buffalo check pattern from the dollar store. The ribbon was a little thick so I cut it in half. I also used a fork and this tutorial to tie the perfect easy bow.
Hot glue a bow onto each wreath. Use a jewelry clasp and jump rings, to attach the wreath to the earring hooks.
These mini Christmas wreath earrings are definitely helping to get me in the festive mood. They add just the right amount of whimsey and kitsch to any holiday outfit.
