What you’ll need:
- Scrap wood (1×2 and 1×4)
- wood glue
- craft paint
- cup hooks
- tape measure
- picture frame hooks
- gold loops x2
- drill
Steps: Organized Entryway in a Small Space
Cut the wood to your desired size and paint. Once they are completely dry, place a good amount of wood glue on the edge of the thinner piece of wood and lay it down on the larger piece to create a lip. Next, clamp the pieces together and allow them to dry according to package directions. I left mine to dry over night.
Use a drill to add the picture hooks to the back of the larger piece of wood (1). Then and evenly spaced cup hooks along the bottom of the thin piece (2). Cut the gold loops in half so that you have four half circles. Then, measure the space between the ends of each half circle. Finally, drill holes in the wood to align with those ends. Place the. first half circle back and to the right and the second half circle forward and an inch or two more to the left (3). Now just hang it on the wall and it becomes the perfect small space organization accessory.
Style it: Organized Entryway in a Small Space
Once I hung the organizer, the space still looked a little bland. I wanted to add some more color and personality to the space without spending a ton of money. I came up with a thrifty solution by framing a page from an old Keith Haring desk calendar. Now, I love coming home and seeing this pop of color, I’m already feeling more organized!
