Make These 3D Easter Cutouts and Banner (Free Template)
Spring is officially in the air, and I couldn’t resist getting a head start on my Easter decorations. I love these 3D Easter cutouts and banners! They add the perfect pop of color to the new den/library that I’ve been busy decorating. As a bonus, these two crafts look great and cost next to nothing to make!
What You’ll Need:
- Egg and bunny template
- Card stock and craft paper
- Exacto knife or craft scissors
- Cricut (optional)
- Ribbon or twine (for banner)
- Hole punch

Start by downloading my free cutout template below. Once you have it, you can play with dimensions by making the images bigger or smaller. If you are using a Cricut to cut out the images, upload the template right into your design space. Remove the background and then resize the images to your liking.
Cut out your shapes using a Cricut machine or a pair of craft scissors. Each 3D egg needs 2 cutouts and each. 3D bunny uses 1 cut-out with ears and one without.

Next, locate the center point of each cut-out. Slowly and carefully, using your craft scissors or an Exacto knife, cut a straight line from the bottom of shape one towards the center. On shape 2, do the same thing except, this time, cut from the top of the. shape towards the center.
Don’t cut too far towards the center! It’s better to cut a small section first, and then go back and extend the cut if need be.
Interlock the shapes by lining up the two slits and pushing the two shapes together. The bottom of the two shapes should line up. Spread the shapes apart so that when you are looking at the bottom of the shape. it forms a “T.”
Have fun playing around with different color combinations and patterns. You can buy a 12×12 papper pack at most craft stores. There are tons of options and, they have amazing bright colors that are perfect for spring. I love the detail of the metallic gold on the rainbow-striped paper!
To make the banners, I used the same template for the bunny and egg. Then, I punched two holes at the top of the cutout and strung it onto twine for hanging.
