Make This Adorable DIY Easter Headband with Pompoms
Easter is a great time to try some DIY projects that you and your kids can enjoy making together. What could be cuter than these tiny pompom chicks? This colorful DIY Easter Headband with Pompoms is a simple project you can do with your child. It’s the perfect accessory to wear over Easter weekend or to gift as a candy alternative in a child’s Easter basket.
What You’ll Need:
- Plastic headbands
- Small, medium, and large pompoms in assorted colors
- Orange felt
- Small foam eggs
- Hot glue and glue gun or another clear drying glue
These headbands are not only simple to make, but they also use just 4 materials. I got my foam eggs at the Dollar Tree. They came as ornaments so I just had to snip off the ribbon used for hanging them. I got a whole bag for only $1.
Make it: DIY Easter Headband with Pompoms
Start by constructing the pompom chick. Glue together three pom poms using a large pompom for the body, a medium-sized pompom for the head, and a small pompom for the tail. For the beak, cut out a small triangle of orange felt. Bend the triangle into a slight curve and then, glue the felt beak to the chick’s head. Repeat this process using different colored pompoms until you have four chicks.
The last step is to glue the chicks and the foam eggs to the headband in an alternating pattern.
There you have it: a simple Easter DIY that kids will love making and wearing.
