The Friendsgiving Table Decor Idea You Need to Copy

Entertaining | Holiday | Home DIYs | Make it!

This year, ditch the traditional tablecloths and table runners in favor of this easy Friendsgiving table decor idea. These DIY placemats can double as a pre-dinner activity, look good on your table and, make for easy clean-up. So, you can stop worrying about laundry and focus on hosting the best Friendsgiving ever!

What You’ll Need:

After you do your Friendsgiving food shopping, unpack your groceries but, save the bags that they came in. You can repurpose them to make this easy DIY that will add a fun and festive vibe to your Friendsgiving table decor. It will also save you valuable clean-up time.

Cut across the bottom of the bag and down each side so that you have two pieces. Using a ruler, cutting mat, and an Exacto knife, cut a rectangular or Square shaped placement. Repeat the same size and shape as many times as you need for as many guests as you need. Use an iron to smooth out any creases or wrinkles.

I used a black marker and my Cricut Maker to write different sayings on the placemats like, “Thankful for…” and “# Friendsgiving.” If you don’t have a Cricut, you can use a stencil or simply write by hand.

This  Friendsgiving table decor idea is especially useful if you’re hosting children. You can give them some crayons to keep them entertained before dinner time. They can draw or write down what they’re thankful for on the placements. You might even see a few adults getting in on the fun!
